Artist of the Week
This week the boys have been completing work on weaving and printing, please click here to view.
Well done to the Year 3 boys who were treated to a Chess Masterclass with Mr Tuck last Friday. They were all introduced to several important chess skills including use of the knight - the hardest piece to master! For mastering the knight against the clock, badges were awarded to: Ruari T, Louis P and Raefe K. The best performance in the Pawn Game, where the boys had to work out a way to promote one of their pawns, came from Zac D who beat Mrs Goford! Good work, Year 3!
Proof that Chess is gradually getting back into full swing can be found in the performa Henry played in the 29th Worldwide Junior Team Battle last weekend, securing some good wins against players from around the world! This is made even more impressive when considering that some of his opponents were 16 years old. Henry will also be playing in a Thames Valley Division 2 match on Thursday with his club. Well done, Henry!
Please do let me know what chess CCJB boys are playing at the moment!
Awarded for kindness, helpfulness and compassion doing the right thing without being asked, it is what makes our school a wonderful environment. This week our rabbits have been awarded to Arsh K (4C) and Thomas L (4C).
Whole Class Photographs - Tuesday 8 June
Save the Date - Tempest will be in to photograph each of the Junior Boys Year Class Groups. A nice keepsake to buy as a reminder of your son's class and their friends, especially if they are leaving us this year.
