A message from the Executive Head
Dear Parents and Guardians
Thank you so much for your support over the past few months, and especially in this last week with our final (hopefully!) few days of home learning, and with our Lateral Flow testing for Year 7 children and above.
We cannot wait to see your children on Monday.
Have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes
Justin Spanswick
Executive Head Teacher

Bulletin Survey
We are constantly looking to make improvements to the way we communicate and provide information. This Bulletin is the core weekly message to all families by email, which covers important school notices, events, key dates, news and head teacher's words. We appreciate your feedback so we can ensure it is reaching you and providing the information you need, in a format that is effective.

We would be most grateful if you could please take a few minutes to answer this questionnaire (or copy and paste this address http://schl.cc/bq) by our extended deadline of Monday 8 March. The form is anonymous and does not collect email addresses. Responses will be aggregated to give a consensus of opinion rather than individual views, to see if there are any improvements or adjustments we can make.

Our condolences
It is with great sadness that we write to let you know that Mrs Pauline Crawley passed away on Thursday this week at the age of 65 years. She retired in April 2019 having spent the previous 12 years working in Claires Court Nursery and was a much valued and loved member of staff who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this terribly sad time.
Monday 8 March - return to school
Return to school for all pupils. Please see the information letter here regarding the reopening for Juniors, which was emailed home to parents earlier this week. We look forward to seeing all the pupils back in school.

School Uniform
Your son may return to school wearing either his Winter uniform (with the exception of blazers and berets/caps) or Summer uniform. If PE/Games is timetabled then your son will come into school wearing his sports kit. For Games lessons Year 2-Year 6 will need football/rugby boots.

Reporting your son’s absence from school
Please don’t forget to call the school office to report any sickness/absence/medical appointments on 01628 327400 or alternatively you can email juniorboys@clairescourt.com

The Stanley Spencer Gallery Competition
Having completed studies on Stanley Spencer's Spring themed paintings last week, all students across Junior Boys and Junior Girls started their final pieces. Everyone looked at the views from their windows and surrounding areas, and some were able to work outside. Spring is definitely in the air!

I have seen some of the works in progress and I have been extremely impressed with the high standard of work our boys and girls are producing. Please can all Juniors bring their work into school on our return to finish during class. Well done everyone, we are all looking forward to seeing your final pieces.

From the Chess Master
I’m looking forward to getting back into school next week and, hopefully, getting back to some over the board chess! Well done this week to Raefe Kemmis again for his work on the Delancey Chess puzzles! I will be keeping the online Chess classroom open so you can challenge another player to a game, and I will keep posting the Delancey puzzles for you to have a got at.
