World Book Day competition - book cover copy
Recreate the cover of a favourite book! You can create your cover in any way you like. Draw it, paint it, photograph family members or pets, recreate it in Lego, bake it… the choice is yours! Prizes will be awarded for the best designs. Please send you entry to Mrs Flood (daf@clairescourt.net) by Monday 1 March.
ISA regional art competition winners
Claires Court received seven winners in total in the London West competition held in October and now have a chance at winning the national competition in their respective categories. Hugo Allies (3V) ‘3D Art Individual and 3D Group Gallery’, Phillip Wendt (1S) and Adam Sanno (5G) ‘Drawing and Fashion Accessories Gallery’ are amongst the winners for London West. Please find the link here to the virtual gallery to see their entries. Good luck to Hugo, Phillip and Adam and all competition entries for the finals being held at the beginning of March.

From the Chess Master
We have now had 25 pupils sign up for the Chess Club, which I hope can get into full swing after half term. If you would like to sign up, please drop me an email rih@clairescourt.net and I shall send you the joining code. Remember to use lichess.org over the break to keep working on your chess. If another pupil from the club is online at the same time, you could even challenge them to a game. Please do let me know if you have been playing any chess over half term as well as how you got on. |
