IMPORTANT INFORMATION – EARLY BUSES
On Wednesday 28 June there will be early buses (as per Friday timetable). The reason for this is that our Senior Boys have a New Boys evening, and as all the coaches depart from Senior Boys they need to have the site clear.

REPORTING ABSENCE/MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS/HOLIDAY REQUEST
Absences must be reported by 9.30am to the School Office followed up by a letter giving the reason for the absence/sickness (we have a voicemail facility and all messages will be picked up by the office once it opens at 8.00am). Please note that the School asks parents to observe our 48 hour rule from the last bout of vomiting and/or diarrhoea and do not send your daughter in before they are fully recovered.
Medical appointments must be in writing prior to the appointment (notwithstanding emergencies then a phone call will suffice, followed by a letter confirming the appointment).
Holiday requests must be in writing to the Form Tutor prior to the holiday being booked.
SCHOOL NURSE REQUEST
Hayfever season - if parents would like to send in antihistamines for their daughter please ensure that our Administration of Medicine Request form accompanies the medication so it can be administered in school.
HOT WEATHER - WATER BOTTLES
If you are sending your daughter in with a water bottle please ensure it is plastic and NOT glass.
WORLDWIDE QUIZ
Well done to our two teams who took part in the GA Worldwide Quiz on Wednesday evening representing the Geography Department. Thank you to the girls who took part.

Carnegie and Greenaway Medals 2017 – Winners’ Parties
Over the past few months Junior and Senior Book Club members have been ‘shadowing’ this year’s Carnegie and Greenaway Children’s Book Awards. These prizes are awarded annually to the writer and illustrator of an outstanding book for children and young people. A total of 16 books have been read, discussed and then scored according to a number of criteria.
To celebrate the announcement of this year’s official winners and to reward those girls who participated in
the scheme, there will be a Winners’ Party in the Junior and Senior Girls Libraries at lunchtime on Tuesday 20th June. Come and see who won the Medals… was it YOUR favourite?!
