From the Office | YEAR 12 DRAMA PERFORMANCES
The Year 12 Dramatists performed their set pieces on Monday evening. Zara Khan and Ben Grant performed a piece from "The Glass Menagerie" by Tennessee Williams and Bella Whelpton and Bobbi Culross performed The Maids by Jean Genet.
The students had to rewrite and enact their own interpretation of part of the existing play. They performed to an audience of parents, family, fellow students and friends on Monday 15th May 2017 in The Shed. Their work was very well received - rapturous applause followed each of the 12 minute pieces. Mrs Olivier described the students work as 'powerful and absorbing' and congratulated the actors on their remarkable work. Mrs Rogers was impressed with the portrayal of each character and thoroughly enjoyed the stunning performances her Year 12 students gave.
NCS
NCS is a life-changing experience offering students the chance to take part in adventurous activities, develop valuable skills and meet new people this summer. Over 300,000 teenagers have already benefited from taking part in NCS - so make sure you don’t miss out! The part-residential programme takes place over three to four weeks in the holidays. Taking part provides a unique opportunity to develop the skills employers’ value: confidence, leadership, teamwork and communication. NCS is also recognised by UCAS and will add value to your personal statement through voluntary experience. To find out more and to take part this summer, visit www.ncsthechallenge.org.
