NEWS FROM THE SPORTSMASTER
All cricket matches have gone ahead despite some unseasonably cold weather. Last Friday the U10s had three successful fixtures against Gayhurst with the U10A, U10B and U10E all recording their first wins of the season. The U9A team faced a difficult opening match but they scored their first win against Long Close with a superb batting performance.
The U11 had their first games of the season rained off last week but this week they finally got their first matches against The Beacon. The U11A team had the best result of the afternoon winning their match by 48 runs, with Matthew Dempster scoring a fantastic 37.
Away from cricket, next week our athletes are looking forward to the first competition as we have our first meeting of the term against Holme Grange on Monday.

‘BETTER ALL TOGETHER’
As announced last week, this year our fete is a ‘festival’ with a theme about the bringing communities of the world together. Whilst Junior Boys host the event it is a collaboration of effort from pupils, teachers and parents right across Claires Court.
Juniors - don’t forget to enter the design a poster competition, it closes on Wednesday 10 May.
Also to any individual entrepreneurs out there. Would you like to take a stall at the summer fete this year? The PTA’s key aspect this year is the bustling Summer Market so if you have a venture already underway and would like the opportunity to promote your product please complete the form or contact: ccjbsummer@gmail.com
RABBITS
The Rabbits this week went to Theo Grout (RG) and the whole of 5B. Theo was very kind yesterday readily sharing his knights costume with a friend.
Mrs Vine was pleasantly surprised this week when she took a CDT lesson for Mr Goddard and the boys in 5B worked diligently throughout.
All the boys have followed our ‘Golden Rules’ and shown that they deserve to be awarded a Rabbit this week.
