Mr Spanswick's Weekly Words Summer 2 |
| My Blog this week is actually more of an ‘information’ piece of writing, for which I apologise. However, there are some events on the horizon that I feel need all of our parents attention.

From the Office | IMPORTANT NOTES
Karate boys who have newly joined the activity will need to complete the online registration form.
- Catering Any boys in year 5 upwards that need their thumb scanned for lunch recognition can visit the office at break time to have this done provided that they have the authorisation signed by a parent/guardian.
- Sponsor Money We would appreciate any outstanding sponsor money for our 3 for 3 sponsored walk to be brought to the office by end of play on Wednesday 3 May. This will enable Finance to provide us with a Grand Total for all three sites.
- Sport If you wish to check on return times for cricket or athletics fixtures for this term please use this link. Due to the nature of cricket these times are only approximate and you will be sent a text if the arrival back is delayed by half an hour or more.
TRIPS AND LETTERS HOME
NEWS FROM THE SPORTSMASTER
This week the U9 team took to the field against The Beacon. With these matches coming so early in the season, we knew that this would be a tough afternoon so it was fantastic that our U9B team won their match winning by thirteen runs and our U9D team won their match by fifteen runs.
Sadly the early season weather meant that the U11A & B matches against Thorpe House were called off. I know we will all be keeping our fingers crossed that they get to play next week against The Beacon. The U10s are due to play Gayhurst today and I hope to report on that in next week's bulletin.
NEWS FROM THE CHESS MASTER
Good luck to all those Claires Court boys taking part in the County Megafinal this Monday. We hope to see as many boys as possible qualify for the Gigafinal.
MUSIC AND DRAMA NEWS
Singing Mrs Ross was unwell this week and she will be teaching on Wednesday 4 May instead. Please check the timetable for the timings of the lessons on Tuesday.
PTA NEWS

RABBITS
Our Rabbit winners this week are Leo Robinson (Y5) and Luke Robertson (Y4). Several members of staff have commented that Leo is unfailingly kind and helpful, he is unfailingly kind and helpful. Throughout the week Luke has looked after both boys in his class and around the school. He makes sure everyone is okay. Both boys thoroughly deserve the award this week.
