| | From the Office | Claires Court Jubilee Tree Canopy Unveiled
We are delighted to have launched our new initiative to celebrate both our School Diamond Jubilee and HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next year. Remember the deadline for purchasing a legacy tree, with your family name on it, is Monday 18 October and we have almost reached our one hundred tree capacity. Menus & Dining
After half term we will be moving to a two weekly cycle for menus due to the supply chain issues we are experiencing. Please also be aware that the menus may need to change without notice due to these issues. Thank you for your understanding.
Holiday Club
Don’t forget our Holiday Club is running w/c 25 October at the College Site whilst at Junior Boys, we will be offering Rugby on 25 and 26 October and Football on 27 October run by our very own Mr Pennington. This can be found under 'Sports Extra' on the website and there's still time to book!
Winter Uniform Reminder
In a previous communication we mentioned that last year’s Year 4’s conducted a survey with regard to a change of uniform. It has been agreed that after half term all year groups should wear long trousers, their “winter” uniform. There is no change to any other part of their schoolwear.
Flu Nasal Spray - Wednesday 24 November - Reception to Year 6
“We do apologise for the little blip on the NHS Berkshire Immunisation Team consent form but we have now had confirmation that this is available for parents to complete”.
Please find the letter again here from the Berkshire Immunisation Team. The e consent form deadline for completion is Monday 15 November and does have to be completed whether you are giving consent or opting out. Thank you.
ISA Art 2021
Here are the results for the Claires Court Juniors in the ISA Art Competition held on Tuesday 5 October. The Junior Art Department is really pleased with the hard work, creativity and application of our students.
Baby Bank Donations
Many thanks for all your contributions to the Baby Bank. The Baby Bank people collected yesterday and were overwhelmed with your generosity and that this will make a difference to many local families with babies and young children.

Chess
Even as we draw to the end of this half term, we can look forward to the next with great anticipation. Not only is there another Maidenhead Chess Club tournament being held at CCJB on Saturday 30 October, our own PTA Chess Festival is coming up on Saturday 13 November. This is a London Qualifier, so offers a great chance for Claires Court players to get through to a National tournament. Money can be saved on entry to these events (and future events) by taking out EFC Membership. Silver Junior Membership is currently free for any new members so do take advantage of this by clicking on the link and following the instructions.
Keep playing chess over half term! Keep working on spotting the chance to use PINS, SKEWERS, FORKS and DISCOVERED ATTACKS. These are the tools to use to beat your opponents.
