| | From the Office | Claires Court Jubilee Tree Canopy Unveiled
We are delighted to announce a new initiative to celebrate both our School Diamond Jubilee and HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next year. One hundred families will be able to purchase a tree and build a legacy for the landscape for years to come. Please take a look at this exciting project highlighted in our news story here.
PTA Firework and Halloween Spectacular - 5pm Saturday 9 October
Thank you to all those who have purchased their tickets for the Fireworks and Halloween Spectacular in advance via the Payment Portal. Your wristbands will be ready for you to collect at the gate tomorrow in an envelope with your child’s name on. If you haven’t purchased tickets but wish to attend, you can buy tickets on the gate (£30 family, £10 adult, £6 child) but food cannot be guaranteed. Please note this event takes place at Junior Boys (sat nav SL6 4QQ).

LFT and PCR Testing
Please ensure your son is Lateral Flow Testing twice weekly and reporting results via the GOV.UK website. Please remember LFTs are for asymptomatic testing only, so if your son is displaying any of three main covid symptoms (temperature, cough or loss of smell), they must take a PCR test and should not come into school until you have received the results. Please inform the school of PCR test results once received. Thank you.
Nasal Flu Spray & Covid-19 Vaccinations - 13 October
Please either consent or opt out for both of these immunisations separately by completing the forms from the NHS Berkshire Health Immunisation team below by the end of the day 10 October, using the school code BK110153B. Please do not complete more than one consent form. You can contact the NHS Berkshire Healthcare Immunisation Team directly with any questions on 0300 365 0077.

Mock Examination Papers
Exam papers and markschemes are being returned to the boys as and when they have been marked, for them to bring home for parents to see and sign. They must then be returned to school, as they may be required as evidence as a contingency measure should GCSEs not be able to go ahead as planned.
Year 11 Parents Evening - 6pm, Thursday 14 October
Parents and boys in Year 11 are invited into school on Thursday 14 October. The evening will start at 6pm in the Sports Hall with a short talk from Mr Wilding and Head of Year, Mr Thompson. May we please ask you to sign in at the Sports Hall, where you will receive a copy of your son’s mock exam results. There will then be the opportunity to meet with teachers in classrooms (please remain outside until the teacher is free), with light refreshments available in the Dining Room.
