Don’t miss the opportunity to come to the PTA Fireworks and Halloween Spectacular next Saturday, a great opportunity to meet friends and raise valuable funds for the school. Book your tickets now via the Payment Portal at the discounted cost of £25 per family (£9/adult and £5/child), with food included. Once purchased, wristbands will be available for you to collect at the gate on the night.

Volunteers required @ Fireworks please!
Please contact Tina Webster via c.e.webster@btinternet.com if you are able to help at the fireworks for any period of time, thank you. It’s a great way to meet other parents especially if you are new to the school.

Contacting the Sixth Form
If you need to report an absence for your son or daughter or contact Sixth Form, please call 01628 327560. Please add this number to your contacts so you don't contact Senior Girls or Senior Boys in error as this often delays messages getting to the correct place. Alternatively, please email both kyh@clairescourt.net and lyw@clairescourt.net. Many thanks in advance.

Year 12 Subject Reviews & Parents’ Evening
Year 12 subject review assessments have been taking place during lessons this week. Subject teachers and the Sixth Form team will review the Year 12 results which will help indicate final A level and BTEC subject choices for the students. Year 12 Parents’ Evening will be on Thursday 7 October and a letter has been sent to all parents regarding the evening.

Year 13 Parents Evening  - Monday 11 October
Year 13 Parents’ Evening will be on Monday 11 October - please note the date. The grades from the recent Year 13 Internal exams will be published on a Grade Card issued to parents before Parents’ evening. These results will help Mrs Rogers to finalise UCAS predicted grades for university entrance.

LFT regular testing and PCR
Please may we remind parents that Sixth Form students should be taking regular LF tests - ideally twice a week. Please remember LFTs are for asymptomatic testing only. If your student is displaying any of three main covid symptoms (temperature, cough or loss of smell), they must take a PCR test and should not come into school until you have received the results. Please do inform the school of PCR results once received.

The Baby Bank

We are still collecting items for the Baby Bank in Sixth Form. They would be very grateful for donations of :
  • Toothpaste - adults & children
  • New feeding bottles
  • Baby wipes
  • Nappies
  • Baby Formula
  • Nappy Creams
  • Shampoo for babies, children & adults.
If you could possibly add any of these items to your weekly shop and send them into school with the students, that would be very kind. We have a collection box outside Mrs Rogers’ office.

Ride4Will - Sunday 10 October
A social ride for friends and family to remember Will, former Claires Court Head boy, and to raise funds for the Will Houghton Foundation.  Starting and finishing at the Akeman Inn, just North of Aylesbury, you can ride a 27 mile or 13 mile course round the beautiful North Buckinghamshire countryside. Courses are pretty, and gentle, and rideable by expert and beginner alike.  Lunch will be available at the Akeman Inn after the ride and we hope you can join us for what is always a fun day for an amazing cause.

If you are able to come along it would be great if you could register HERE as it really helps us plan.

Mr Wilding's words Autumn week 3

Well, after a full second week of ‘full-on’ school, it is pretty obvious that the world of education, pastoral care and welfare is back to its usual full-on, flat out stage. As with our Year 8 evening last week, it was indeed wonderful...
