PTA Firework and Halloween Spectacular - Saturday 9 October
Don’t miss the opportunity to come to the PTA Fireworks and Halloween Spectacular next Saturday, a great opportunity to meet friends and raise valuable funds for the school. Book your tickets now via the Payment Portal at the discounted cost of £25 per family (£9/adult and £5/child), with food included. Once purchased, wristbands will be available for you to collect at the gate on the night.
Volunteers required @ Fireworks please!
Please contact Tina Webster via c.e.webster@btinternet.com if you are able to help at the fireworks for any period of time, thank you. It’s a great way to meet other parents especially if you are new to the school.

Parent Support Talks - Tuesday 5 October 6pm
This event for parents will be taking place at Claires Court Senior Boys, Ray Mill Road East (SL6 8TE). Please do not drive into the school until after 5.45pm when the coaches have departed. The first Cyber Safety talk commences at 6pm, light refreshments will be served at 6.45pm, with a second talk ‘Girls on Board’ taking place 7pm - 7.45 which is only applicable to parents with daughters. YEAR 7/YEAR 8 SENIOR GIRLS
Inter-house Swimming Gala G7/G8 - Tuesday 12 October
We would like to invite our G7 and G8 Parents to the Inter-house Swim Gala on Tuesday 12 October. The event will start at 2pm finishing at 4pm. Parents are asked to use the entrance via the swimming pool gate at the lower end of the car park. Refreshments will be available. Please note that there is no space inside the swimming pool and parents will be viewing the event from outside.
Nasal Flu Spray Years 7 - 11 Wednesday 13 October
Just a gentle reminder to complete the consent form here by 12pm on Tuesday 12 October latest (the form does need to be completed even if you are not giving consent and there is space on the form to do this). Please find attached the letter for information.

Covid-19 Vaccinations - 13 October
Following Mr Spanswick’s email yesterday about Covid-19 Vaccinations for Years 8-11 being available at school on Wednesday 13 October, please find the NHS Berkshire Immunisation Team’s letter about this. May we please kindly ask you to either give consent or opt out using this electronic consent form and the school code BK110153G.
PCR Testing
Please remember LFTs are for asymptomatic testing only. If your daughter is displaying any of three main covid symptoms (temperature, cough or loss of smell), she must take a PCR test and should not come into school until you have received the results. Please do inform the school of PCR results once received.
PTA Nearly New Uniform Sale - Friday 15 October
We are pleased to announce that the second hand uniform shop will now be open twice a term, with the first sale on Friday 15 October at 3.45pm. The sale will be held in the Main Sports Hall and entrance/exit is via the external stage door (please go through the swimming pool gates at the lower end of the main car park).
Donations of clean uniform to be dropped off at the school office before Monday 11 October.

Parent Focus Group - Year 7 Thursday 14 October
We are keen to put together a small Year 7 Parent Focus Group which would meet every few months with Mrs Ruddick (Deputy Head-Pastoral) and Mrs Austin-Smith (Head of Year 7). The main purpose of the group is to provide constructive feedback to the school as well as providing an opportunity for parents to share opinions, feelings and perceptions on school based activities. If you are interested in being part of this, please email Mrs Ruddick vlr@clairescourt.net by Friday 8 October. The meeting will be held online via a google meet on Thursday 14 October at 12pm.

Year 8 Activity Day - 7 October
Please find a letter regarding an Activity Day that has been organised for Year 8. It will take place during the school day, so no consent is required, and normal school drop off/pick up arrangements apply. Girls will need to wear their PE kit and bring a waterproof, nut free packed lunch and named refillable water bottle. |
