Lateral Flow Tests & Face Masks

The majority of boys in B7, B8 and B10 should have bought home a new pack of Lateral Flow tests this week. If your son was isolating due to being on the Great Missenden bus, please ask him to pick up a pack from Mrs Tarr when he returns to school next week. B9 will be given their pack when they return to school on Monday 28 June. Just a reminder, we are asking that face masks are worn again in school, so please do check that your son has one with him each day.

From Monday 28 June - Senior Boys Blazer Free
Senior Boys can go blazer free from Monday 28 June until the end of term and if it gets cooler, they can wear their jumpers and a permitted jacket to school. If you are donating a blazer to the PTA nearly new uniform sale, this will also allow time for you to arrange for it to be dry cleaned before donation.

Donations of Nearly New Uniform - from 5 to 8 July
The PTA will be accepting donations of good quality uniforms from Monday 5 July and 100% of the proceeds raised from the sale will now go directly to the PTA. All money raised will be used to enrich the school lives of the boys who attend the Senior Boys School. All items donated should be good quality and laundered or dry cleaned. Accepted items include blazers, jumpers, ties, trousers, shirts, rugby, football, PE shirts and shorts. No socks please. Any queries, please contact Tina Webster via email c.e.webster@btinternet.com.

YEAR 11 ONLY:

Prom Cancellation

With the surge in Covid cases in our local area, and the transmissibility of the new variant, we feel that it would be placing your child and our staff at unnecessary risk by still attending the prom as planned. We are looking at a replacement date in August, after results, for an opportunity for Year 11 to celebrate with us. I know that this will be a huge disappointment for your son, whose education has been disrupted already so much by the pandemic. We know it is no substitute but all monies paid will be reimbursed ASAP.

Cricket - U12s WIN COUNTY CUP SEMI-FINAL

Congratulations to the U12A cricket team who won their county cup semi-final fixture against Herschel GS by 45 runs. Batting first, Claires Court achieved a total of 149-3 with captain Harrison A leading the way with an unbeaten 51, ably supported by Zac P 25 and Spike S 18. In reply, Herschel lost wickets at regular intervals thanks to some tight bowling but it took Zac P (2-10) to get the key wicket which effectively won the game. Congratulations to the team, they now play Crosfields School in the final. More details follow next week.

In other fixtures this week, the U15s beat Pangbourne College on the last ball of the game; the U13A team beat John Hampden GS by 4 wickets and the U12s beat Sir William Borlase's GS by 49 runs.
