House Challenge: a House Point prize for the House that reads the most words over the summer break.
Individual Challenge: prizes for pupils who read and PASS an AR book quiz on at least THREE books inside their Reading Range between 16 July and 8 September.
Accelerated Reader will be available for Year 7-9 to use every day, ALL summer long. Use AR Bookfinder to find a great book inside your Reading Range. Just make sure you know your AR username and password before the end of term. Need help finding perfect summer reads? Try the recommendations on the library database or in your Library Services Google Classroom.
Year 10? We've not forgotten you! See the best summer reading recommendations for your age group in your Library Services Google Classroom.

YEAR 7/YEAR 8 ONLY:
YEAR 7 and 8 Workshare
Please see the letter here that was emailed home to you recently.
YEAR 9 ONLY:
Year 9 Focus Group Meeting
We are keen to put together a Year 9 Parent Focus Group with Mr Richards and Mr Gravett. The main purpose of the group is to provide constructive feedback to the school as well as providing an opportunity for parents to share opinions, feelings and perceptions on school based activities. If you are interested in being part of this, please email Helen Phipps (hep@clairescourt.com) by Friday 2 July.
YEAR 10 ONLY:
G10 Parents Evening w/c 5 July to 9 July
Please see the letter here which was emailed home earlier this week.
We are operating a telephone call home to parents from subject teachers for the G10 Parents Evenings all week from Monday 5 July through to Friday 9 July. Your daughter will receive an appointment sheet that will be put on their online form classroom which parents can access.
YEAR 11 ONLY:
Prom Cancellation
With the surge in Covid cases in our local area, and the transmissibility of the new variant, we feel that it would be placing your child and our staff at unnecessary risk by still attending the prom as planned. We are looking at a replacement date in August, after results, for an opportunity for Year 11 to celebrate with us. I know that this will be a huge disappointment for your daughter, whose education has been disrupted already so much by the pandemic. We know it is no substitute but all monies paid will be reimbursed ASAP. |
