Year 12 - UCAS
Year 12s have begun completing their online UCAS applications this week. You may have had questions from your sons and daughters about what is your “parental occupation”? - a mandatory question on the application! This will be an ongoing process as students will add their course choices later, once they have narrowed down their choices to 5 courses with a range of A level grade requirements. GCSE grade entry requirements are also very important when it comes to universities making conditional offers to students. Please also be aware that when choosing courses, if a student does not have the required GCSE grades for a course, they will not be made an offer.

Year 13 U101 sessions
After a longer half term break, the Year 13s who have opted into the U101 sessions will return from Monday 14 June for the two week programme. They each have their own timetable of sessions so they know which days to be in school. Subject teachers are looking forward to helping students with more in depth study for their university courses, for helping them prepare for university and for helping them with life skills such as budgeting and staying healthy. The creative teachers and Mrs Rogers have some great ideas for the legacy projects for the students to be involved with too. It promises to be a productive and fun two weeks.

Year 13 Farewell - Thursday 1 July
The Year 13 farewell will take place on Thursday 1 July, now moved to the Sixth Form Centre, and will run from 9.30am to 12 noon. The theme for fancy dress is a “Sporting” theme and we will finish with a BBQ lunch at 11.30am. There will be fun, laughter, lots of reminiscing and no doubt a few tears, as we remember the last incredible two years with Year 13.

Sparkling Afternoon Tea - Friday 2 July 4pm-6pm
Sparkling afternoon tea for Year 13 on Friday 2 July will be at the Crowne Plaza in Marlow. The dress code is smart (lounge suits and cocktail dresses) and please do not have a big lunch because the tea there is HUGE and wonderful! It will be our final opportunity to say goodbye. If any students would now like to come to the Year 13 Farewell on 1 July or the afternoon tea on 2 July please can they email kyh@clairescourt.net as soon as possible and before Monday 14 June.
