Considerate and Legal Parking/Stopping

Please help us keep our neighbours happy by not stopping on the double yellow lines near school. They are there to prevent accidents, involving both pedestrians and/or vehicles, in dangerous places. Thank you for your support in keeping our children and local community safe.
 
Combined Cadet Force (CCF) Enrolment - Friday 28 May

Please find the recording and slides from Tuesday’s Combined Cadet Force presentation with Steve Richards, Sasha O'Clee and RSM Stephen Larkin. Please find further details and information about joining in this letter and if you wish to enrol, or register interest for future enrolment, please visit the CC CCF site. Enrolment forms are to be completed by Friday 28 May.

YEARS 7-9 ONLY:

Accelerated Read Reports 

Your son’s most recent Accelerated Reader Report has now been uploaded to the Parent Portal. Please login and you will find it under ‘Reports and Documents’, called Star Reader Parent Report. This provides information on Reading Age and Reading Range (ZPD Range), from which boys should be selecting books for optimal growth in reading. There will be a final fourth assessment in July. Please also look at the ‘Renaissance Home Connect Informational Letter’ from October 2020. This provides information about the ‘Home Connect’ service, which allows you to see what books your son has read and his book quiz scores.

Year 9 Parent Teacher Meetings - 6 July

Further details will follow, but please save the date for now. In order to help us firm up plans, we would be interested to know your thoughts on either face-to-face or virtual meetings with your son’s teachers. Please complete this form by Friday 28 May to indicate your preference and whilst we cannot promise to meet everyone's needs, we will consider all comments made.

YEAR 11 ONLY:

T101 Sign Up Deadline - 9am Monday 24 May

This year's T101 programme offers exciting opportunities for you to see for yourself what studying in Sixth Form is all about. The academic and practical subjects you select will act as a bridge between now and the Sixth Form, a chance to find out what the subjects you are interested in are really like at the next level. Please use this Google Form to sign up for the specific academic and creative A Level and BTEC taster lessons you wish to attend. You will need to select one subject for each period on the days that you are selecting. An overview of the timetable can be found here. Please complete this form by 9am Monday 24 May.
 
Year 11 Final Assembly - Friday 28 May 
You are invited to join the Year 11 boys’ Final Assembly on Friday 28 May, which will be livestreamed to parents for a 9am start (http://schl.cc/cr). Please ensure your son is wearing smart Claires Court branded sports kit for this day, as they will have games in the afternoon. Additionally, we will be taking an informal ‘leavers’ photo on Tuesday 25 May, when boys will be in school uniform, so again looking smart please!
 
Year 11 Thorpe Park - Thursday 24 June
The Year 11 Thorpe Park day is planned for Thursday 24 June. Further information about the arrangements will follow including costs, timings and booking form.
 
Year 11 Prom - Wednesday 30 June
Please save the date for the Year 11 Prom to be held at Lillibrooke Manor on Wednesday 30 June. Further details to follow.
