| | From the Office | A message from the Executive Head
Dear Parents and Guardians
As we try to find our way back to some semblance of normality in society, we are reminded daily in the media of the dreadful situation in other countries as they battle with the Covid-19 pandemic. My brief words today are to thank you for your patience as we remain vigilant in our school and mindful of the guidance set out by the Department of Education.
Frustrations of having sports fixtures but no spectators, of not allowing children from other schools to freely join our classrooms for weeks on end to experience the Claires Court way of life, virtual rather than physical meetings and parent communications. These are restrictions we put in place for the safety of our community, and I would like to thank the many of you who have recently written to me to express your gratitude that we hold the well being and safety of you and your family as our single priority.
I am reminded of the quote, 'If someone sticks by your side through the worst times, they are the ones who deserve to be with you through the best times'. I sincerely believe that we have our best times to come, and they will be coming very soon! At Claires Court, we look forward to sharing them all with you.
Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend.
Best wishes
Justin Spanswick

Reminder
Just a reminder that Year 12 should all now have registered on the UCAS “Hub” to allow for preparations for the UCAS application and personal statements to start later this term. Some Year 13s are still awaiting offers but for those who have received all their offers, they should now be thinking about replying to their universities. Mrs Rogers will be seeing all students who have not yet replied to offers next week. All students who are going to university should have applied for their Student Finance by the deadline of Friday 21 May, whether they have confirmed their university choices or not.
#Stay Connected 2.6
#Stay Connected 2.6 will be available to you from today.
Students and parents should always check this - it is a one stop shop for all the latest information on unis/apprenticeships/jobs. This week’s edition has information on Aon apprenticeships, university taster courses and personal statements as well as articles written by our own team of students on a tribute to Jimi and the Oscar winners. If students miss seeing this, they could miss out on lots of vital information. |
