From the Office
A message from the Executive Head
Dear Parents and Guardians

As we try to find our way back to some semblance of normality in society, we are reminded daily in the media of the dreadful situation in other countries as they battle with the Covid-19 pandemic. My brief words today are to thank you for your patience as we remain vigilant in our school and mindful of the guidance set out by the Department of Education.

Frustrations of having sports fixtures but no spectators, of not allowing children from other schools to freely join our classrooms for weeks on end to experience the Claires Court way of life, virtual rather than physical meetings and parent communications. These are restrictions we put in place for the safety of our community, and I would like to thank the many of you who have recently written to me to express your gratitude that we hold the well being and safety of you and your family as our single priority.

I am reminded of the quote, 'If someone sticks by your side through the worst times, they are the ones who deserve to be with you through the best times'. I sincerely believe that we have our best times to come, and they will be coming very soon! At Claires Court, we look forward to sharing them all with you.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend.

Best wishes
Justin Spanswick
Executive Head Teacher

The Big Ask - National Survey now live
The new Children’s Commissioner for England, Dame Rachel de Souza, is doing the largest ever survey of children in England. It’s called ‘The Big Ask’ and aims to find out children’s concerns and aspirations about the future. There are two surveys, a pupil survey and adult survey and we would encourage you and your children to share your views. The results will help the Children’s Commissioner identify barriers preventing children reaching their potential, put forward solutions and set ambitious goals for the country to achieve.

We would like to invite you to our virtual CCF Parent Information Evening being held on Tuesday 18 May via the Meet Link. The event is primarily aimed at parents of our first cohort (current Year 9 and Year 11 pupils), but anyone may attend as other year groups will have the opportunity to join at some point in the near future.
