| | From the Office | A message from the Executive Head
Dear Parents and Guardians
A bit of sunshine, the return of some routines, challenge and nurture in equal balance, there has even been talk of sports fixtures for our boys and girls after Easter. School is back!
While we are celebrating the return of children to school, we are also being very mindful of the significant impact Covid-19 has had on our families, and while ‘the norm’ looks not too far away, we are being careful to ensure that our community is supported whenever help is needed. Please contact the school should you have any questions regarding how our pastoral system is adapting to look after your children with the utmost care, or should you have any queries about our Safety Control Measures.
I hope you enjoy the musings from our Headteachers, and I wish you a fabulous weekend.
Best wishes
Justin Spanswick
Executive Head Teacher

ISA National Art Competition 2021
Every year we enter the ISA Regional Art Competition. Back in October, the best artwork by Claires Court students was submitted online. CCJB were very proud to have three winners.
Those three boys then had their work sent to the National finals that was adjudicated in February.
We are delighted to announce the Hugo Allies was judged to be first place in the 3D Key Stage 1 category. Hugo’s proportions and technique are clearly evident in his amazing clay sculpture. Philipp Wendt was awarded ‘Highly Commended’ for this excellent drawing in the Key Stage 1 drawing category. The judges really enjoyed Philipp’s playful lines in his sketch entitled ‘Mini-Beast’. This award has only been won once in the past 22 years.
This is a testament to all the amazing Art the Juniors have produced. Their passion and application for the subject has never been better. Well done to everyone. Brilliant!
Artist of the Week - The Stanley Spencer Gallery Competition
This week the boys have continued their Stanley Spencer projects. We have all been concentrating on adding shading and tonal changes in our work. All pieces must be completed before the Easter break. Please click on the links to see some of the stunning artwork produced at Junior Boys this week.
