Mrs Kirby's words Lent week 9
From Mrs Ainsley Our topic this week has been about teachers. Children of this age love to be the teacher and so the children were in their element to be able to get hold of our counting wands, sit on the grown up chair, fill out registers and...

A message from the Executive Head

Dear Parents and Guardians

It has been wonderful to have the schools full of children again. Even a sense of normality has been felt in amongst the many safety control measures that have been put in place. Thank you all for your support of the school in preparing your children for their return.

Knowing that Mr Richards and Mrs Kirby have much to say in their words, I will keep my message as brief as possible! On returning on Monday, we have enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures - socialising, chatting to friends, working, playing, a bit of sport and music...it has been great!

Bearing this in mind, it is unfortunate that we are unable to run an Easter Holiday camp this year. While we are allowed to organise the framework of an activity camp for specific groups of children, we do not yet have permissions to organise activities for all children. We are aware there could be an easing of current restrictions at the end of this month, nevertheless, the lack of clarity on this does not provide the school with enough time or confidence to support an Easter Holiday provision.

Naturally, we are disappointed with this situation as we have proven in the previous holiday camps that we are able to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your child in separate bubbles while they have a wonderful time with many of their school friends. However, we will always follow the strict guidance from the Department for Education, and hopefully a ‘circuit break’ at Easter will ensure that we can enjoy as full a school summer term programme as possible.

Some great times are ahead however - we have started organising trips for later in the year, fixtures, events...it is really exciting and more information will emerge over the next few weeks. In the meantime, I will leave you to the words of your child’s Headteacher - have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes,
Justin Spanswick
Executive Head Teacher

Breakfast Club Nursery and Junior Girls
From Monday 15 March, we are moving the location of the Junior Girls’ Breakfast Club to the dining room, which means drop off will be via Main Reception from 7.30am - 8.15am with temperature checks on entry.

Nursery drop off will be via the main Nursery gate, rather than the Lower Nursery gate, from 7.30am - 8.30am.

There will be no changes to normal drop off; the Lower Nursery gate will be unlocked at 8.15am for Junior Girls and 8.30am for Nursery.

Red Nose Day - Friday 19 March
Please help us to support Red Nose Day by sending your child into Nursery wearing mufti (to include something red) for a £2 donation to be given to your Nursery Class Teacher - thank you.
