| | From the office | A message from the Executive Head
Dear Parents and Guardians
It has been wonderful to have the schools full of children again. A sense of normality has been felt even amongst the many safety control measures that have been put in place. Thank you all for your support of the school in preparing your children for their return.
Knowing that Mr Richards and Mr Wilding have much to say in their words, I will be very brief!
In short, your children have been fantastic in carrying out the Lateral Flow Tests this week, and our nurses along with their support staff have been very impressed, as well as very grateful for their mature attitude. Please take time to read my separate note which was sent earlier today giving directions on how to use the Testing Home kits that your sons and daughters will be bringing home. By continuing with this testing regime, we will ensure that both the school and home environments are as safe as they can be.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes
Justin Spanswick
Executive Headteacher
ALL YEAR GROUPS:
Lateral Flow Home Testing
Your son will be bringing home three LFT packs today (each box contains three test kits), and an instruction booklet. Tests need to be carried out 3-5 days apart, so we recommend testing on a Monday and Thursday for the remainder of the term, and then Monday 19 April, prior to the start of term. Please report any positive test results to the school.
Saturday Sport
Saturday morning rugby training will take place for the remainder of term, with sessions running on 13, 20 and 27 March. All sessions will run from 9.30am - 10.45am. Unfortunately parents are not allowed to watch, so will have to drop off and collect. Venues as follows:
- Years 7 and 9 at Maidenhead Rugby Club (on the 3G)
- Years 8, 10 and 11 at Phoenix Rugby Club (Institute Road, Taplow, SL6 0NS)
At Phoenix, please could Year 8 and 11 parents drop off and collect at Phoenix Rugby Club, and Year 10 parents Boundary Road (directly above the grounds up the hill).
A reminder to all boys to please wear full rugby kit, and remember mouthguards, boots and water bottles. All sessions will run according to RFU current guidance.
Comic Relief - Friday 19 March
Boys are invited to support Red Nose Day by wearing ‘red mufti’ on Friday 19 March for a donation of £2, to be handed in to their form tutor at registration.
Back to Books!
The school libraries are open again for 'click and collect' book reservations, so bring back your old library books and replace them with some great new reads! There are hundreds of new books to choose from this term, so log in to the school library database and start browsing. Returning a book is easy! Just drop it in one of the special library book return boxes. All loans and returns are quarantined.
YEAR 7 ONLY:
Please complete the Year 7 into Y8 Language Choices Form to indicate which two languages from French, German and Spanish your son wishes to carry on with in Year 8 by Friday 26 March. Thank you.
YEAR 11 ONLY:

Year 11 boys were introduced to the NCS at a recent assembly, and we are pleased to let you know that the NCS website is now live for sign ups if your son is interested in participating. Please find further information in the form of a parent information pack and parent video.
