From the Office | Lunch Booking from 8 March
A hot ‘take-away’ style school lunch will be available from 8 March and needs to be booked on a ‘one week block’ basis via the Report Portal in the same way you would book activities, study or after-school care. The deadline for booking lunches or making changes to your booking is 4pm Thursday of the preceding week.
Instructions can be found on pages 4-5 of this help document, but in summary you need to ‘join group’ for a Monday lunch (main or vegetarian) which will include your child for a full week (i.e. lunch Monday to Friday). The booking then automatically rolls over week-on-week, so your child will be included for lunches for the remainder of the term and you will be charged each week unless you ‘leave group’ (this needs to be done prior to the Thursday 4pm cut-off).
If you had signed your child up for school lunches in January, your booking still stands. So if they no longer require a hot school lunch, you will need to amend your booking. If you cannot remember, you can check by logging into the Report Portal. If you had not signed up but wish to, please do so following the above instructions by 4pm Thursday 4 March.

Lateral Flow Testing Consent
With the Government announcement that it hopes schools to reopen from 8 March, may we please ask you to complete the Lateral Flow Testing consent form.
Many thanks.
Back to school
As Mrs Rogers told the students in assembly this morning, we are back in school from 8 March.100% attendance will be required and all lessons will be ‘face to face’, no longer remote. Dress will be smart/casual dress (no more tracksuits, trainers, hoodies etc). Lateral flow tests will be taken. They are important and appointments are scheduled already; please complete the consent form above and students should be punctual for appointments.
Temperature checks, health related questions, hand sanitising/washing, the one-way system, cleaning workspaces, ventilation, social distancing, and wearing masks in communal areas will all continue to make school a safe environment for everyone.

Brufut Challenge update
Our latest update is that we have now raised £470 from the Bruft Challenge. Thank you so much to those of you who have contributed. We can now send 2 pupils to school and that is a great achievement. Donations can still be made on the parent portal under the heading “Brufut Challenge”. We will continue to support the school in Brufut with further fundraising activity over the year.
Staying Connected #21
If you have a chance, do look through this week’s edition of #StayConnected. Students receive a virtual copy every Friday and they can also be found on the website here. This is an online weekly magazine for Sixth Form to help us all feel that we “stay connected” through lockdown. It was started during the 1st lockdown in March last year and has been reinstated this year. This week’s edition has many articles on universities & apprenticeships, as well as fun quizzes, ideas for cooking, biodiversity in the garden, climate change, motivating us to study at home, a workout challenge from our Head Boy Byron, and more things to do in lockdown. There is something for everybody to enjoy. |
