From the Office | A message from the Executive Head
Dear Parents and Guardians
With the school currently going through its appeal to build a new school, I thought it would be appropriate to share with you a picture that one of our parents sent to me this morning from the Junior Boys school driveway. A beautiful picture…and absolutely freezing! We will update you on any outcomes from the appeal process as soon as we hear anything.
Thank you so much to the hundreds of you who have responded to our questionnaire regarding after school activities and school transport. If you’ve not yet had the chance to complete this form, please do so by 9pm on Sunday evening. Your feedback will help inform our plans and I will be able to confirm next week the arrangements for the Lent term.
We are also inviting our peripatetic teachers back into school in January. It will be lovely to have the sound of musical instruments filling our hallways once again, and I know the Heads of Music are delighted at this prospect.
We are hoping to be able to support our local Food Share, and I am aware some of you have already sent in items that will go to those in need this Christmas. We are currently establishing with our local charity groups if they are allowed to accept food parcels in light of the Covid-19 crisis - hopefully they can, and we will let you know next week. On the subject of food, I am pleased to say that all pupils will have the opportunity to have a traditional Christmas lunch this year (with crackers!) - electronic forms are included below:
I can also provisionally confirm we are intending to run a short holiday camp programme before Christmas, depending of course on any restrictions that tend to emerge overnight! We’ll share details shortly.
Have a lovely weekend, and please stay safe.
Best wishes
Justin Spanswick
Executive Head Teacher
