Mr Richards' Words Week 5
Tuesday afternoon was a joy to behold and not just because the threatening rain cloud slipped by without yielding its contents upon us. Our bulb planting extravaganza provided plenty of opportunities for collaboration, listening, coordination as...

New campus update
Our long and eagerly-awaited planning inquiry for the development of the Ridgeway site is nearly upon us, and we are calling for your help and support. The inquiry will be held online by an independent planning inspector from 18 November for eight days.

As we celebrate our diamond jubilee in our 60th year, we would dearly love to cement our plans to bring us all together at one-purpose-built, future-proof campus fit for our quality teaching and the families we care so much about. Letters of support for the plans are welcomed by the inspector and help form a good picture of all the significant benefits arising from our plans that will so positively affect a wide-range of people in our community. More information is being sent to all our families and friends, so we do hope you can help us and show your support and write to: tim.salter@planninginspectorate.gov.uk by: Wednesday 17 November 2020. Include the relevant planning references in your subject line (or at the top of your email):

Independent Schools Council Covid-19 survey 2020 - last few days to take part
Thank you to those parents and guardians who have taken part in the Independent Schools Council (ISC) Covid-19 parent survey 2020. The survey is designed to help our school and the wider independent school sector understand what parents and pupils experienced during the Covid-19 lockdown last term.

If you haven’t taken part and would like to do so, we would really appreciate your views in this independent and anonymous survey by Monday 12 October. You can complete the survey online using this link.

Flu vaccination - Monday 7 December 2020
Please find an e-consent form (you will be asked for the school code which is BK110153B) and information about the flu vaccination for boys in Reception to Year 6. Please complete the form by Friday 6 November. This was emailed home earlier this week.

Harvest festival
Our Harvest festival celebration will be taking place on Monday. If you are able to, please send your son to school with a donation from Monday 12 October onwards.  The OneCanTrust will collect them during half term.

Titan mouthguards - Year 6
As you know your son is required to wear a mouthguard while playing hockey at school. Many pupils are happy to use the ‘Boil and Bite’ style mouthguards available from sports shops but others prefer the superior protection and comfort of the custom moulded style, normally fitted by your dentist or our supplier (Titan Mouthguards) during a school visit. Please find an e-flyer from our custom mouthguard supplier. Unlike previous years we will not be arranging a visit from Titan for obvious reasons, but instead you will be able to order a home impression kit and book a video call with one of their technicians if you need help making the impression, before sending the impression off to their laboratory.  You will then receive the custom fitted mouthguard directly to your home in the post. Boys will be playing hockey after half term, and require a mouthguard to participate for safety reasons.
