Claires Court Library Service now has access to Britannica School Online. Please see link to the letter here. This is an excellent online resource for all subjects and all ages. It is designed to be a research tool for pupils to carry out research independently at home or in school. Britannica School is an online platform provided by Encyclopaedia Britannica, a worldwide leader of fact-checked content. The platform provides safe content to support homework and research. Content types include articles, images (copyright cleared), videos, primary sources, ebooks (including 19th century GCSE texts) and journals as well as many links to free, safe and vetted educational websites. Access is available via the Library Services website.
SUN Parent Hub: Virtual Higher Education Day
The Southern Universities Network is delighted to invite parents of any of your students considering university – to attend the very first SUN Parent Hub Virtual Event!
Aimed at the parents of young people aged 16-18, the suite of digital talks and workshops are taking place on Thursday 1st October from 3pm to 7pm. Featuring a host of 20 live and pre-recorded sessions, the event is designed to provide you with everything you need to know in order to support young people to make the next steps towards their future in education and work.
Alongside expert speakers from the region’s most prominent Higher Education Providers, we are also excited to announce that Baasit Siddiqui from the popular television show GoggleBox will feature as a keynote speaker.
