News from the Chess Master
I am sorry to say that the tournament on Monday has been postponed. I will look to hold the tournament in the Summer Term. The Maidenhead Junior Chess Congress on 17 April has also been cancelled.
I have also received the following communication from Delancey Chess:
Dear chess teacher
It is with regret that we have taken the decision to postpone all Megafinals until September at the earliest. This is due to the continuing health crisis surrounding the coronavirus and the uncertainty that this brings for organisers and schools. Our current plan is to run the Gigafinals in October – but of course the situation is rapidly changing.
Many clubs are being cancelled at the moment. If you haven’t already we suggest you complete the schools stage of the competition as soon as possible – even if this means playing less than the full 7 rounds (reduce qualifying score accordingly).
Qualifiers should still visit the website and join the mailing list so that we can keep everyone in the loop regarding rescheduled dates.
Please note all our School privacy notices can be found here. Please ensure you keep you and your child's information up to date. You can login to the report portal to change any details or alternatively, please contact your school office.
