From the Office | School and Nursery Closure
Along with all schools in the country, we are closing from Friday 20 March until further notice to support and follow government guidelines to manage the Covid-19 outbreak. We will support all of our community during this time, particularly with distance learning for our students to continue to give them the best education possible in the circumstances. Please visit our news page for more information. We will also keep you informed by email. We must all work together to do what we can to reduce the spread of coronavirus. Thank you for the kind messages of support during this crisis. Stay safe.
Senior Boys School Office
Many thanks for all the kind words and support we have had from parents. Please rest assured that Mary Tarr will be in school answering the phone as long as she is able, and both Mary and Amy will be contactable by email on mrt@clairescourt.net and ayh@clairescourt.net. May we please take this opportunity to remind you that if you have books, bags or Chromebooks to collect from school but you are self-isolating because one family member has symptoms, please DO NOT come to the school site. Please ask a friend to collect the items on your behalf so as not to put our staff at unnecessary risk. Thank you.
Year 9 (and above) Duke of Edinburgh Award Opportunity
All in Year 9 and above have the opportunity lying ahead to take up a new skill, practice a sport further or volunteer in their local community, given the extended time at home that lies ahead. The Duke of Edinburgh award provides a wonderful opportunity to ‘capture’ those opportunities and have them validated in through their programme. Please read more here - http://schl.cc/7N.
Thursday 26 March - Year 8 Language Options
Having studied a range of Modern languages so far, Year 8 boys are now required to choose one Modern Foreign Language for Year 9, that being French, German or Spanish. Thanks to those who have completed the form already. If you have not, please complete this Language Choice Form by Thursday 26 March.
Social media
Whilst we may not be able to socialise as much as we would like at the moment, please follow us on our social media to stay in touch and to get our latest news. We’ll also share any resources, activities and tips that may be useful during this time.
