Important information about coronavirus (covid-19)
We are directed in our actions by Public Health England (PHE) who liaise closely with the Department for Education (DfE). At the time of writing we have had no cases of Covid-19 at Claires Court. As a school we are actively encouraging our pupils to be extra vigilant in their hygiene to prevent the spread of any pathogens, and we will continue to do so.

We are aware there will be further updates on the government's plans to tackle the possible spread of such a virus. We will inform you of this in due course and you will see any updates under the news section of our website.

If you have any questions about our response to the Public Health England’s guidance, please contact Justin Spanswick, Executive Headteacher on 01628 327717.

News from the Chess Master
On Friday afternoon, Year 2 enjoyed a curriculum chess masterclass with Mr Tuck; encouraging them to solve various problems. Perhaps the next county or England player was amongst their number and found he had a gift for creative, analytical thinking? If your son would like to take up chess lessons with Mr Tuck, please do let me know.

Entries are already coming in for our Lent Term tournament, and I am pleased to announce that there are several girls coming over from Junior Girls. Entry forms are available from the Chess noticeboard or attached. EPSCA team invitations for Bristol will be issued shortly. These invitations are based on recent form, though I would love to invite everybody just for the experience!
