| From the office | Coronavirus
In light of the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus in Wuhan, China, we would like to reassure you that, as always, we are monitoring government advice and assessing any risks on a daily basis. Our advice is taken from Public Health England which can be viewed via the following link .
In the meantime, our advice is as always, to maintain a high standard of hand hygiene at all times to prevent the spread of any infectious disease. Should the School be required to take any additional measures in the future we will inform you as soon as possible. If you have any further questions please feel free to speak to any one of the school nurses.
Annual General Meeting of the Claires Court PTA
Join us on Friday 7 February from 9am at Junior Boys to hear from our Pupil Voice about how they benefit from the donations received from the PTA, as well as their review of the PTA year.
Those present will be invited to elect the main board and committees. This is a great opportunity to meet those who work in the PTA to support the School. If you would like to join one of the committees, please contact your school office who will share your details.
Portland Easter Sailing Camp
Sailing courses at the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy to kick-start your sailing within the School or to refresh your skills from previous years. Open to all Senior pupils Monday 20 to Tuesday 21 April 2020. To confirm your place please pay the £100 deposit via the payment portal by Friday 7 February.

Parking Restrictions
Parking - Please be considerate when parking outside of school particularly at pick up and drop off times and do not ignore the parking restrictions signs.
Make sure you park sensibly on the road itself to ensure the safety of pupils, parents, staff and the general public. Thank you for your cooperation.
Sixth Form Mock Exams - Monday 24 to Friday 28 February
Mock exams for Sixth Form will be taking place from Monday 24 February all week until Friday 28 February. All exams (with the exception of Media for Year 12) will take place in the Main Hall at the College Avenue site. Morning exams begin at 9.15am and afternoon exams at 1.45pm. Very few exams have been scheduled on the afternoon of Wednesday 26 February so that students may go to Games afternoon. Normal lessons will be taking place all week for students when they do not have exams.
There are 58 exams in the week being taken by 460 students. Inevitably, several students will have clashes. We have tried to identify any clashes with the help of the students and rearrange any exams for them. The mock exam timetable has now been emailed to parents.
