Portland Easter Sailing Camp
Sailing courses at the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy to kick-start your sailing within the school or to refresh your skills from previous years. Open to all Senior pupils Monday 20 to Tuesday 21 April 2020. To confirm your place please pay the £100 deposit via the payment portal by Friday 7 February.

Annual General Meeting of the Claires Court PTA
Join us on Friday 7 February from 9am to hear from our Pupil Voice how they benefit from the donations they receive from the PTA, as well as their review of the PTA year. Those present will be invited to elect the main board and committees. This is a great opportunity to meet those who work within the PTA to support the School. If you would like to join one of the committees, please contact your school office who will share your details.
Vacancy: PTA Treasurer
The main purpose of this role is to support the PTA with key events throughout the year, by approving expenditure, raising cheques, organising floats and collecting cash raised, and to produce the accounts for the Main Board. This is a part time role, requiring approximately 4 hours a week, including support at school events. Applicants are asked to submit a letter of application by 12pm Monday 3rd February to clairescourthr@clairescourt.com outlining their reasons for applying and how their previous experience complements the role.
Thursday 30 January - Open morning
All our schools are hosting open mornings from 9.30am to 11.30am on Thursday 30 January, which is the perfect way to get an insight for the next step on the educational ladder. If your son or daughter is preparing to move from Nursery to Junior, Junior to Senior, or Senior to Sixth Form, please visit us for a coffee and tour.

MFL Linguists of the Week (Spanish)
Ayshmit Sethi, Charlie Webster and Will Paveley in Year 10 for their presentation on the Spanish trip in school assembly.
Mathematicians of the Week
Ollie Payne (Year 8) for super work in algebra and Harry Chaplin (Year 10) for his excellent work ethic.
Scientist of the Week
Scientist of the week goes to Louis Young and James Golding (Year 9) for their fantastic work on covalent bonding, and Muna Chikanya (Year 9) and Will Keylock (Year 10) for the huge improvements they have made in Biology.
Historian of the Week
KS3- Dylan Stuart (Year 7) for excellent creative work on Henry II, and Rafe Spearing (Year 9) for his diligence in completing tasks so far.
KS4- Andrew Paul and George Miller (both Year 10) for dedication and hard work on the new topic on World War One. |
