Linkedin
Mr Chander from came to speak to the Sixth Form about how to build a professional brand on Linkedin. This is timely as the Year 13s will be on study leave on Wednesday 11 December, creating their own profile. Mr Chander explained how a professional brand is how others view our accomplishments, experience, capabilities and potential. To create this, students need to think about their goals, their target audience, their accomplishments and finally 3-5 words which describes them in a professional manner. Students need to remember to make their headline attention-grabbing, add examples of work, add skills and finally add a professional photo – profiles are 14 times more likely to be viewed if a photo is attached. Having written their own compelling personal statement, students will find them a useful resource during this exercise. Students have been asked to connect with Mrs Rogers once they have set up their account.

Hamper packing at Senior Boys site – Sunday 8 December from 9.00-10.30am
Volunteers are welcome to help come to the Sports Hall at Senior Boys on Sunday to help pack hamper for the Lions. All help is gratefully received, and you don’t have to be there for the whole time.

Overcoats and chocolates
Please can we ask that you look out for any old coats you may have that you no longer want and you are happy to donate. The Salvation Army are always desperately in need of good coats at this time of year. They can be brought to the Sixth Form area. Likewise, we are still collecting chocolates (no nuts) to donate to The Salvation Army too and are grateful for contributions.
