News from the Sports Master
It has been a quiet week for both our U9 & U10 as they have had a rest week. This has definitely been a good thing for our pitches as we have had days and days of rain. The U11 who did have matches this week experience just how wet and muddy they were. I can’t remember a muddier set of Claires Court pupils leaving the field after matches. For the U11 teams this was their last home rugby fixture of the season and all teams had some success. The U11A and U11C both recorded great wins in the challenging conditions, while the U11B & U11D teams both came from behind to draw their games. The U11C were 8 tries to 1 down at half time, and clawed it back for a 10 try all draw, quite some achievement.
We would all like to wish George Norris the best as he represents the region at The ISA National Swimming Gala at the Olympic pool in Stratford this weekend.
News from the Chess Master
Our end of term tournament will be held on Monday 9 December between 1:30 and 5pm. Entry forms are available from the Chess noticeboard and the entry fee is £1.
I have already received several forms and am looking forward to a well attended tournament. As always there will be a trophy for the winner and runner up in the U11 and U9 sections, as well as medals for each year group.
