CHRISTMAS HAMPER DONATIONS
This Christmas we will be making up Christmas Hampers for the Salvation Army to distribute to local elderly and needy families. We are hoping that Sixth Form students will be able to donate boxes or packs of chocolates (no nuts please). These can be brought into school until Wednesday 11 December and we have collection boxes in the Sixth Form area for donations. Many thanks.
SIXTH FORM CHRISTMAS PARTY – Thursday 12 December 7.30-11.00pm
We are all looking forward to celebrating at the Christmas party after the practice exams. This will be held on Thursday 12 December, 7.30pm-11.00pm at Magnolia Park in the Hughenden Valley, HP14 4LA. The theme is White Christmas.
Sixth Form Practice exams - week commencing Monday 2 December
Hopefully you are seeing your sons and daughters getting down to productive revision for their practice exams which will begin in the week commencing Monday 2 December. These will take place in lesson time and the results will give us a clearer indication of current attainment in each their subjects. The next report due for Sixth Form in January will include the results of these exams.
DofE Opportunities
Students in Sixth Form are allowed direct entry into the Silver DofE programme, without having previously started their Bronze award. There is the opportunity to begin the Silver award with expeditions in April and May (letter). Please also see the letter if you have completed your Silver award and are interested in taking the Gold award.
