FROM THE OFFICE
Activities
All activities/clubs commence Monday 16 September.

Reporting absence/medical appointments/holiday request
Absences must be reported by 9.30am to the School Office followed up by a letter giving the reason for the absence/sickness (we have a voicemail facility and all messages will be picked up by the office once it opens at 8.00am). Please note that the School asks parents to observe our 48 hour rule from the last bout of vomiting and/or diarrhoea and do not send your daughter in before they are fully recovered.

Medical appointments must be in writing prior to the appointment (notwithstanding emergencies then a phone call will suffice, followed by a letter confirming the appointment). Holiday requests must be in writing to the Form Tutor prior to the holiday being booked.

Tempest Individual Photos
Your daughter will be bringing home her order form for the photograph recently taken - if you wish to purchase this the deadline for returning your order form/payment is (26 September). They are being collected by Tempest the following day. Orders received after this date will be returned to your daughter for parents to post to Tempest direct themselves.

Y8 to 11 Curriculum Booklets
This week all parents should have received by pupil post their welcome letters and curriculum booklets.

David Hyner - Monday 16 September
Year 11 pupils will be attending a follow-on talk from David Hyner who will be focusing on revision strategies.  Pupils will be taken to Senior Boys during the afternoon and brought back to Senior Girls by 4pm.

Senior Speech Day
Thursday 19 September 2.00pm - Magnet Leisure Centre. Pupils will return to school for after-school activities and onward transport unless they are going home with their parents who are attending the Speech Day. Pupils must ensure they inform their Form Teacher if they are not returning to school.

Friday 20 September
Jeans for Genes Day - £1.00 fine for wearing your jeans to school in support of this worthwhile charity.
Please wear your jeans to support this event but we ask for no ripped jeans, no crop or strappy tops and no jean shorts.  Other normal school rules apply with regards to hair, jewellery and makeup.

G10/G11 Theatre Trip - Saturday 21 September
‘Gaslight’ at Windsor Royal Theatre.

Academic Mentoring - Monday 23 - 25 September
Year 11 parents have an opportunity to meet with their daughters Form Tutor for an academic mentoring discussion. All Year 11 pupils have been given an individual appointment day and time. Please confirm attendance via the google form http://schl.cc/6c

Senior Girls Study - G7
Just a reminder that study is not ‘flexi-study’ - the idea is for the girls to start/complete any homework/revision during that hour long period that ends at 5.10pm. If you need to add your daughter to study on the odd occasions they can just turn up.

Air pollution and parking
In a bid to reduce the air pollution in the vicinity of the school, please remember to switch car engines off when dropping off and collecting your daughter from school. The disabled parking bays on site are for blue badge holders only, please refrain from using these at drop off/pick up time.
