Sixth Form Information – Reminder for Current Year 11
May I just remind you of some key dates coming up in the calendar for new Year 12 students coming into Sixth Form:
  • Tuesday 9 July – Induction Day for all new Year 12s at College Avenue from 9am-4pm. Smart business dress should be worn, and appropriate clothing brought in for the afternoon leadership and resilience activities. There will be an Induction Information Evening for parents at 7pm.
  • Monday 2 September - New Year 12s in school at 9am for registration and study skills workshop until 4pm. Smart business dress should be worn.
If anyone is unable to attend or requires further information, please can they email Mrs Hall on kyh@clairescourt.net.

Smart Watches
From September 2019, Smart Watches will not be allowed to be worn by any pupils in Nursery - Year 11. This includes apple watches or any device that can accept or send notifications, like some FitBit watches. We do not want our pupils to be distracted during lessons, or when socialising in person with their friends at breaktimes. We also endeavour to limit screen time from personal devices during school hours as the pupils are safer from the internet and its many interruptions. Thank you for supporting us in keeping your children safe.

Inter House Music Competition
The Inter House Music Assembly took place this morning, with 4 'acts' taking part for their house: Joshua Croly (Kelly), Ben Coghlan (Rowanhurst), Araan Sobhan (St Lawrence) and Oliver and Jonny Payne (Ridgeway). Voting has now gone to the pupils and staff with the winner(s) being announced at the final assembly on Friday.
