The Great Summer Event - Sunday 23 June
The PTA are looking forward to seeing you at our Great Summer Event on Sunday. Please note that you need to purchase tickets for the Summer Fete even if you already have tickets for the Circus. Further details are available on our website.

Any orders for the U10 and U11 cricket photos should be received in the Office by Monday 24th June.

Early Buses - Thursday 27th June
Activities will run as normal at Junior Boys however, there will be no late bus to the Senior Boys.

Registration Portal
Please note that the Registration Portal for entry into Bucks CC Grammar Schools, for September 2020 entry, closes at 3pm on 27 June 2019. It will not be possible to register for the Secondary Transfer Tests (11 ) after that time.

Sports Day - Friday 28 June 2019
Reception & Year 1    9.15am
Years 2 & 3                11.00am
Years 4, 5 & 6              1.15pm

Pupils will need to come in to school in their white PE kit, no uniform is needed on this day.  Please also provide your son with a school/sports cap and suntan lotion.  There will be no school lunches provided that day, please bring a pack lunch and a bottle of water.

Existing School Transport Users  
As you have used our school transport system for your son/daughter this year we assume you will continue for the next school year.  As such we will be producing your invoice which will be sent with the fees invoice at the end of this term.  We have not increased our transport charges for the last three years but have had to make an increase for the next academic year.  Please see our website for details www.clairescourt.com.

Under our terms and conditions you are requested to give half a term’s notice of cancellation of transport or any changes. If you do not wish your son/daughter to use the service for the 2019/20 year or you wish to make any changes to your usage please contact Allison Hasyildirim, Trips and Transport Officer, on travel@clairescourt.com by Sunday 30 June.
SPORTS FIXTURES AND RESULTS

After spending time researching the origins, culture and learnings of Sikhism in the classroom, Year 2 boys were fortunate enough to visit a Sikh Temple.
News from the Sports Master
Claires Court Junior Boys athletes had another very successful day at the ISA National Championships at the Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham.  The Junior Boys came away with a clutch of medals. In Year 4 Theo Ainsley performed extremely well to win the bronze medal in the cricket ball throw.
 
The Year 5 boys competed superbly, with all of them bringing home a medal.  Thomas Page finished 5th in the long jump and George Norris put in an incredible gutsy run to finish 4th in the 600m in a personal best time.  Thomas Scargill brought home two individual medals with a with a bronze in the 75m and silver in the 150m. Thomas Page and Freddie Holgate both came home with individual gold medals in the high jump and cricket ball throw respectively.  The Year 5 relay team of Thomas Scargill, Thomas Page, Freddie Holgate and George Norris put on a relay change over masterclass to win gold.
 
The Year 6 boys put in equally impressive performances.  Jake Hyslop achieved 5th in the 80m. Hugo Winter and Ishraj Samra both finished 4th in the high jump and shot put respectively.  William Dart run a perfect race in the 600m winning gold, narrowly missing a national record! Ben Savidge won gold with a massive throw in the cricket ball.  The Year 6 relay team of William Dart, Hugo Winter, Jake Hyslop and Tommy Beever finished off a fantastic day bring home gold!
 
Whether they won a medal or not all Junior Boys competed extremely well and were a real credit to the school.  London West Junior Boys fished 1st contributing to the London West team winning the overall trophy for all year groups.
