News from the Sports Master
This has been another bumper week of sport. Sadly all the U9 fixtures against Thorpe House and Herries on Tuesday were rained off inside the first over and matches were abandoned, however all pupils did get a good match tea.

On Wednesday our U10D1 & U10D2 teams both had very good wins against Herries. While our U11A & U11B1 travelled to Thorpe House and recorded good wins and our U11B2 team hosted Herries at home to record successful results.

While our cricket teams were winning at home our athletes travelled to Eton to compete in the ISA London West Athletics Championships. This is a huge event for the pupils, that Claires Court run. This year there were over 1000 athletes from Year 4-11 competing from the London West region. Claires Court Junior Boys had a hugely successful day, winning a total of 18 medals, breaking five regional records and winning the Junior Boys team award, which in turn contributed to Claires Court being crowned overall team champions. The five events where records were broken were - Freddie Holgate in the Year 5 Cricket Ball Throw with a massive throw of 53.19m, Thomas Scargill in the Year 5 75m with a scintillating time of 10:42 secs, Ishraj Samra in the Year 6 Shot Putt with a throw of 7.78m (breaking the record by 58cm), William Dart in the Year 6 600m with a time of 1min 46sec and final the Year 6 4x100m relay consisting of William Dart, Hugo Winter, Jake Hyslop, Tommy Beever with a time of 58 seconds. Special mention must also go to Thomas Scargill and Thomas page who both returned with 3 gold medals each.
