Year 12 Transition into Year 13
Mrs Rogers’ assembly this morning to the Year 12s was about the step up to Year 13. Students will be working in a new mode and may be unsure, yet need to know how to channel their energy appropriately. Students are encouraged to ‘aim high’ in their summer internal exams, for good results for UCAS predicted grades for university and for apprenticeships and employment. There is no substitute for working hard and consistently. Students know that to ‘believe in yourself’ they have to get more involved by, for example, applying for a school leader position. Students can ‘make a difference’ by volunteering and being a good friend, and fulfilling their potential. Adopting the right attitude and a can-do approach to become their best selves will all help them to transition successfully into Year 13.
