From the Office | YEAR 11 PARENTS EVENING FORM
A reminder that the Year 11 Parents Evening is Tuesday 12 February from 6pm. Please find the Google Form you are invited to complete to indicate which teaching staff you would like to meet with. Please can parents complete the form as soon as possible, by this Saturday 12 noon, so we can inform staff of any specific needs and enquiries you make. NCS will be attending the evening to offer your son the opportunity to participate in adventurous activities, develop valuable skills and meet new people.
FRIDAY 15 FEBRUARY - MUFTI DAY FOR GAMBIA
On Friday 15 February, all pupils are asked wear the colours of the Gambian flag (red, blue and green) for this mufti day! £1 donation supporting the building of an education centre in the Brufut area of The Gambia. A black iPhone 5SE with fitted black case has gone missing. Last seen on Monday at the end of the school day. If found, please return to Mrs Adams at reception or Mr Bretherton.
PTA BALL
In 2020 Claires Court will be celebrating its diamond anniversary. The PTA and the Principals want to make it a very special event and therefore our next ball will be spring/summer 2020, enabling us to plan and prepare for this momentous occasion.
YEAR 8 CANVAS CAFE
Introducing The Canvas Café, a chilled place to explore being human: bringing Art and Self-Exploration together. The aim of the group is to use Art and experiential mediums, such as painting and clay, to help young people explore their thoughts and feelings. The group will run on Wednesday lunchtimes from February 27 for 5 weeks. The group is open to all Year 8 boys and is on a first-come-first-served basis. There are 8 spaces available. Please email Rachael Williams (raw@clairescourt.net) with your son’s name and form group if interested.
