FROM THE OFFICE | Activities
Before and After School Activities for this Lent Term commence on Monday 14 January except for Football and Cross Country. These will commence week beginning 21 January. This is due to the lack of daylight. If you require your son to stay at school he will be looked after by the Sports Department in Study.
Music and Drama Timetable
Here is the link to the Music and Drama Timetable to check when your son has his lessons. This is updated weekly.
Access to School and Car Parking
Please be mindful of the 20MPH speed limit along the school driveway when entering and leaving the school and please only use the Visitors parking spaces in the morning when dropping off your son for Breakfast Club.
Gambia Fundraising Evening – Friday 25 January
Tickets are now available for our fundraising event at College supporting the building of an education centre in Brufut, Gambia - the School’s nominated global charity this year. Tickets include an Indian buffet, Gambian drumming and much more - £30 adults/£20 students and pupils, and are available on the Payment Portal. Further information about the event can be found on our website.
Weather Watch
As the weather gets colder and more wintery, may we take this chance to remind our parents of the School’s Emergency Closure Guidance in case we need to close the School due to adverse weather conditions.
Coaches and Activities
A reminder that as a full activities programme begins next week, the coach service will return to normal departure times. For further information on the coach service please visit our website.

News from the Sports Master
Firstly I would like to say a huge welcome back to all parents and boys. We as staff are all looking forward to the football season ahead and fixture cards will be given out to the boys and should be arriving home shortly. Fixture details can also be found on the school's website.
I also would like to remind all parents that Football Association rules dictate that all players must wear shin pads, and that these shin pads must be covered by socks. Therefore, please ensure that your son always has a pair of named shin pads for all Games lessons and matches.
I would also like to ensure that all boys come to Games lessons with a tracksuit and/or thermal base layers in their sports bags. With the temperature and the wind chill at this time of year it is important that the boys are fully prepared for the weather conditions.
We look forward to welcoming parents on the side lines to support the school throughout this term.
News from the Chess Master
Welcome back to all our chess players. The Lent term is particularly busy with the Delancey qualifier starting at break-times on Wednesdays. I will put up a sign-up sheet on the chess noticeboard for your son to write his name and class on.
Also taking place this term is the EPSCA qualifier. For the first time Claires Court will be hosting a qualifying round. I will be sending out invitational letters for this event. We are hoping to capitalise on our Under 9 team's excellent display last year when they finished 5th in the country!
The run up to Christmas and the New Year found a few of our pupils playing in the prestigious London Junior Championship. London is the toughest test of the year for juniors (and adults too), being staged over several days! Well done to Moksha and Kanishka Suriarachchi and Josh Sharma who all took part in this mental marathon! This experience will serve them well in developing their chess skills.
