Gold Medals At The ISA National Swimming GalaGold Medals At The ISA National Swimming Gala

An impressive three golds and two silver medals were achieved by Year 8 pupil Nathan, Year 6 pupil Callum and Year 10 pupil Matthew, after they competed in the National Swimming Gala for London West, held in the Aquatic Centre at the Olympic Park.
News from the Sports Master
In last week’s bulletin we wished Callum Potter in Year 6 all the best as he set off for the ISA National Swimming Gala at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Callum return with a gold medal having helped the Regional Relay Team win gold in the 200m freestyle relay. Well done Callum!

In horrible weather conditions on Wednesday both the U10 and U11 teams finished their season with matches against Chesham Prep. The U10 teams hosted Chesham and had a fantastic afternoon winning four out of the five fixtures with superb results for the U10A,B,D and E teams.

The U11 team not only finished their season, but played their last competitive rugby game for Claires Court Junior Boys. Due to various injuries and the opposition only fielding three teams, we combined the players from their usual four teams into three. They all had a fantastic afternoon with brilliant wins for the U11B and C teams. The U11A team played out of their skins in a very tight encounter to win their last game by four tries to three! What a great way for all of Year 6 to finish their competitive rugby with us at Junior Boys!

The U9 teams had their last matches on Thursday against strong Berkhamsted teams. The U9A and B teams played superbly well but both suffered narrow losses by one try each. The U9C and D teams were combined together for just one team to play Berkhamsted C and D teams. Both games finished with fantastic wins for our team.

Next week we have U8 and U9 House matches on Tuesday and U10 and U11 House matches on Wednesday. All matches kick off at 2.30pm and parents are more than welcome to come and support.
