As Winter approaches
As the weather gets colder, may we take this chance to remind our parents of the School’s Emergency Closure Guidance in case we need to close the School due to adverse weather conditions.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Email Hacking and attempted fraud
Please read this notice from Lloyds Bank regarding the targeting parents of children attending independent schools in an email fraud campaign.  We would like to reassure parents that whilst we are confident in our systems security, new threats and methods are always being exploited by hackers. We continue to bank with Natwest and have not changed, nor do we intend to change our banking details in the coming future. We will also never send out new payment instructions via email. Therefore, if you receive any suspicious emails appearing to be from the School, please forward them onto your School office, for further investigation.

Sixth Form Open Evening
It was our annual Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday and there were a huge number of Sixth Formers who helped to showcase the Sixth Form to the Senior Boys and Girls in Year 11 at Claires Court, and to many other students who visited us from different schools. Our students are truly our best ambassadors for the Sixth Form - they took students and parents on tours, eloquently explained all our courses and Cami and Matt, our student Heads of School, spoke articulately about their experiences in Sixth Form. Each and every student was extremely welcoming, did not stop smiling all evening and as ever, we were very proud of them, as illustrated by this lovely quote from a member of staff - “It was lovely to see the school presented professionally and with great enthusiasm from our Sixth Form students. The speeches were honest and credible and there was positive feedback from parents. Please would you kindly thank them all for the support, efforts and professional representation of our school and values”.

Toy collection for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice
We are busily collecting lots of games, toys, books and furry animals for Alexander Devine, to supplement the many already collected by Tasha in Year 13. Please can you help us by looking out any preloved, but in good condition, toys or by donating any new toys to this very worthwhile children’s charity. Any donations can be brought to the Sixth Form office next week. Mrs Rogers and Tasha will be delivering the toys to the hospice at the end of next week.

ISA Swimming Gala
Congratulations must go to Kally Mudge (Year 13) and Cleo Sloggett (Year 12) who represented Claires Court at the ISA London West Regional Swimming Gala on Monday 19 November at the Aldershot Garrison Pool. Thirty different schools competed - the most schools that have ever taken part.

Cleo was in the first race of the afternoon (the 200m Individual Medley) and won a bronze medal. Kally swam the 100m Backstroke and the 50m Fly, winning a gold and silver respectively. The girls later swam in the Freestyle relays and the Medley relays with Annabelle Ruinet (Year 11) and Millie Foxwell (Year 9) swimming up an age group to make a complete relay team. They won a silver and bronze medal in the relays. Huge well done to Cleo and Kally! Kally has been selected to represent London West at the ISA Swimming Finals at the London Aquatic Centre in Stratford on Saturday 1 December.
