| | From the office | Visiting Speaker - Sian Thomas from the Army
On Tuesday evening, Sian Thomas from the Army visited to talk to students about careers in the British Army and various ways in which to join, as either a Soldier or an Officer.
There are 220 different roles available to choose from - something for everyone. Only 25% of the Army is in combat and 75% non-combat, including Engineering, Medical, Transport & Logistics, Intelligence Comms & IT, HR & Finance, Music & Ceremonial. The British Army values diversity, is committed to inclusion and wants the best people that British society has to offer. If you are interested in finding out more about the seven career streams of the Army and the requirements for joining, please look online www.army.mod.uk/careers . Sian has also left some information with the 6th form office which you are welcome to review.

Y12 Introduction to Careers Resources, Thursday 15 November, 6pm in the Chapel
Mrs Rogers is looking forward to seeing Y12 parents at this informal evening to learn more about the choices open to students post 18 years and to get ‘hands on’ experience of the many and varied resources now available. She will be looking at resources such as ‘HEAP’, ‘SACU’, ‘eCLIPS’ and ‘Kudos’. This is an evening for parents only as students will be learning about this after Christmas.
