Badges for Senior Leaders
Mrs Rogers awarded our Year 13 senior leaders with their badges of office this week. Our Heads of School are Cami Price and Matt Kidd, and Deputy Heads of School are Charlotte Lewis, Allegra Slater, Donald Holliday and  Elliot Merry. We also awarded badges to our Learning Ambassadors, who were chosen by their subject teachers to be the contact point for students who may need a little help in their particular subjects. We know they will be great leaders and role models.

The teenage brain
Mrs Rogers spoke in assembly about how the teenage brain differed from the adult brain, as the area of the brain associated with self-regulation, conscious decision-making, memory, judgment and insight is still developing in students of Sixth Form age. However their risk taking can be positively channelled if they for example, choose difficult tasks for the growth minds, set goals and use the feedback they are given to help them be successful. Making sure they get enough sleep, daylight and a good diet all contribute to their well being.
