When I was younger I used to play a bit of tennis. I ended up playing some tournaments abroad and when I was 15 years old during one match in Austria I hurt my back badly when serving, and it became an injury that would plague me for the remainder...
Rabbits
The Rabbit winners this week are in Years 1 and 4. Harry Notton-Brown was so kind and thoughtful this week. He helped a young visitor, looking after him and ensuring that the visitor had a wonderful day. All the pupils in the school can tell you where they should be quiet and walk sensibly. They know when and how to line up outside classrooms. Jack Terry has been spotted on many occasions doing just that and not needing to be reminded what to do! Well done Jack and Harry. Both boys have demonstrated that they deserve to be Rabbit winners this week.

News from the Sports Master
This week seems like it has all been building towards Sports Day, a full report will go into next week's bulletin.
This week our U11s took a 6 a-side team to the Berkhamsted tournament. Our pupils played some outstanding cricket and won all their group matches to take them through to the final where they were narrowly pipped into second place. Please see Mr Goddard’s report for all the details and stats.
While on Wednesday our U11s had their last game of the season. With the U11A,B & C teams all playing Gayhurst and the U11D1 and U11D2 teams playing host to Herries. All teams finished off the season with excellent wins. Special mention must go to the U11D1 and U11D2 teams who both finished with 100% winning records.
News from the Chess Master Chess alfresco
We were blessed again with good weather this week and so it was the turn of the Wednesday chess club to take the sets and venture out onto the lawn. Whilst a few boys worked on checkmating with a king and queen, others huddled together discussing opening strategy. Either way - time well spent. My thanks go to Miss Bharj for stepping in to help out, and for taking some lovely pictures!
Delancey Southern Gigafinal
Our best wishes and congratulations again to those Claires Court boys who are heading off to the Southern regional Gigafinal this weekend. I understand that the event at Orleans Park School in Twickenham is completely booked up. These boys are already twice winners having come through our school tournament and the Megafinal. Well done. More details next week.
