| | From the Office | Rabbits
Our rabbit winners this week are Henry Adamson in Year 4 and Thomas Lewis in Year 1. Henry has been extremely kind this week to all of his peers, he has been working well and he made a school visitor feel especially welcome on Wednesday. Thomas is another young man who always follows his Golden Rules and a number of staff have commented that he is always so polite, helpful and kind. Well done to both Henry and Thomas this week.
Dining Room Menu
Next week due to the Bank Holiday, Monday’s menu choice will be offered on Tuesday. The rest of the week will remain the same.

Megafinal success! The first of the local Megafinals was played on Saturday over at Wellington College. The two Claires Court boys who entered this tournament both qualified for the regional Gigafinal. Teo Rybak and Houning (Kida) Zhu won through against strong opposition with Kida being crowned "Supremo" of his section. Very well done boys!
There are other Megafinals being held in this area. To register click this link.
Your Move
I have been working with a few boys this week on strategy. This differs from the sharp calculation of tactics in that it encourages an appreciation of positional play and a formulation of a plan. Boys are set a position from a Master's game and then invited to choose the correct continuation from a list of candidate moves. Here's one we've been working on. What would you play?
Choose a move!
Black to play (flip the board)
Will you choose:
A) Rh6
B) f5
C) Nc8
D) Nd7
E) h5
Answer next week!
