UCAS assembly and HE visit
Mrs Rogers spoke to Y12 today, introducing them to the UCAS process. A date for your diaries is Monday 12 March, when the visit for all Y12 to the Higher Education Conference at Surrey University will take place. Mrs Rogers explained that women who have degrees earn significantly more over their working lives than women without degrees. University is not just about studying the subject you are passionate about, but also about learning life skills. The UCAS process for Y12 will begin in Enrichment week in July, with various workshops on choosing courses, Personal Statement writing and how to register. Open Days are coming up and should be booked for visits after the AS exams. Alumnus Ed Axtell, who is studying Commercial Music at Bath Spa University also presented, giving the students ideas on how to make their Personal Statements stand out from the crowd.
