FROM THE OFFICE
Our New Campus
Hooray! The applications for the new campus have now been submitted to RBWM.  These now go through a process of validation before being made available online for public view... and then the countdown begins!  We anticipate the planning decision will be taken by the new Borough-wide Development Control Panel at the end of April/beginning of May.  The timeline for the project is on the website.

Over the coming weeks and months we will share with you some of the key facts about the new campus, the plans for the new school and the benefits for all concerned.  We are very excited to be working with Maidenhead Hockey Club, not only because we know that many of you are members but also because hockey is increasingly important as a field sport in schools and the UK.

We will be hosting information events for parents, pupils, staff and Maidenhead Hockey Club later this term.

This week’s key facts
  • The school campus will have a capacity for 1190 pupils, 910 in the new school buildings and 280 in the current Junior Boys’ ones.
  •  Development on Green Belt is permitted, providing we can demonstrate ‘very special circumstances’ to justify developing our site. Because education can be shown to provide ‘significant benefit’, it is one of the few circumstances under which development may be permitted and we are presenting our case to support this.
  • The site will have a new access road and roundabout where Farmers Way is presently, an improvement on our existing arrangement.
  •  Across the school campus there will be over 300 parking spaces for parents, staff and visitors plus standing space for 16 coaches.
Reminder: no nuts in snacks and sandwiches
Please can parents check labelling of these items in line with our no nut policy. Please note peanut butter or nutella sandwich fillings are not allowed.

Wizard DVD's - Christmas Shows
The orders have been sent off to Wizard - please allow two weeks for the DVD’s to arrive back into school.

G5 Onward Schooling Information Evening - Thursday 18 January 2018
This is taking place in The Chapel from 5.00pm to 6.00pm - we do hope you can make this as it will be very informative.
